Cook Pasta

Cook pasta – first thing to think about when cooking pasta is to make sure your pot is big enough. I pre boil the water in an electric kettle (a must have in a British Kitchen – see more in Picks). It comes to the boil so much faster and once I put the water in the pot, add a little salt and a drizzle of olive oil, the pasta can go in right away. Check the package for specific cooking times, and stir often. Don’t overcook! You want the pasta to be al dente not mushy (unless of course you are my son Cameron who likes his pasta that way!).
