Sear / Brown Meat

Sear/Brown meat this is used a lot when braising or roasting meat. It basically seals in the juices and gives the meat nice color on the outside before cooking through in the oven – roasting or on the stove top or oven – braising . Take a large (make sure your meat fits well) sauté or frying pan. Put 1 – 2 tbs of olive oil and get it nice and hot. Place the meat in the pan browning on all sides.
